So it's been a very fun, very full summer. And I've made good progress on the Z50 build... But. Summers over. Project's not done. And, I'm over budget. Well great. Good news is that I'm still not too deep into this bike. Bad news is, school is back in, and I'm a full time shop teacher. The first week of teaching is always a nightmare- there is no tired like first week teacher tired. I've got a few other vids in the works, but for this week, lets sit down and have a chat while I clean the workbench! Blowing a hydraulic line on an old tractor!

  Blast from the past- dug this one out of the archives! I apologize in advance for the filming and quality... But its funny. I've got a 1955 John Deere 60 tractor. It came with the house when I bought it, and the tractor hadn't run in a few years. It has an ANCIENT Farmhand front end loader on it. I had no clue what I was doing, but I got it started, and it seemed to run decent. Wanted to move it somewhere easier to work on so I tried lifting the bucket up, and it was working... until... Nearly burnt down the house! BIG fire!!!

  So... I made a mistake. Maybe I'm just too liberal with the blowtorch. I had some stuck bolts, and figured I'd use the torch to heat them up to break them loose... But the engine was sitting in a plastic oil pan full of carb cleaner and vapors. It INSTANTLY lit on fire, and it was BIG!!! Thankfully got out of it with no burns and no real damage to the shop, other than some oil stains on the floor and a ruined blanket. And, a melted oil pan... But hey, we're slowly getting somewhere!
